Having seen the picture you based it off of, and the CG art you did right here, I can honestly say that while both are good, there are some huge fundamental differences between them that I think hinder your art's potential.

I was going to go into detail, but that would've been nitpicky, so I'll just hit the nail on the head: it's the pink that strikes me the hardest.

She has a headress of blue and violet, but the rest of her is pink? I don't want to come off as rude, but to me the blue and violet works as a duet, but the pink is so loud that it steals the performance. For something like this, if you're going with three colors, they all need to work with each other, otherwise they get out of place, and the viewer starts focusing on one first rather than the whole set at once.

The reason the other one worked is that there were three colors: white, green, and red, and the brightness of each color is even. This one however, the blue and violet are even to each other, whereas the neon pink is like a floodlight, causing me to focus on her hair, eye lashes and lips.

It's still quite beautiful however, and if I was to pick a favorite part of this peice, it'd have to be the eyes hands down, but if you want a better, more even and powerful effect, I'd say ditch the pink.
